A portrait of Guernsey’s Dr Nicola Brink has been unveiled at a VIP reception in Alderney. It displays Guernsey’s Director of Public Health sitting alongside Alderney-born staff nurse, Aimee Coleman, and housekeeper, Leah Peck According to the artist behind it, Sally Ede-Golightly, says she agreed to paint the portrait to highlight some of the “unsung heroes” of the coronavirus pandemic.
Commissioned by by the owner of the Le Passage Gallery in Alderney, Bennt Bengtsson, the portrait will be displayed alongside the works of sixteen artists from eleven countries as part of the Le Passage Summer Exhibition.
