Aurigny add extra flights to Alderney

Aurigny has added three additional flight rotations per week between Alderney and Guernsey.

The States-owned airline said they were responding to extra demand for travel between the two islands as the Staycation campaign gains traction.

From this week there is an extra rotation on Friday and two now two take place on Sunday.

A spokesman for Auringy said: ‘It is hoped by putting on extra flights, especially those on Friday and Sunday, that people may take advantage of a long weekend in Alderney.’

James Dent, chairman of Alderney’s Policy and Finance Committee welcomed the move, saying: ‘I’m pleased to see Aurigny responding to demand with extra flights as demand to come to Alderney grows and I hope they will continue to do this.’

The extra Friday and Sunday services commence this week and the full Alderney schedule is listed below:-

Monday to Thursday

GR220 GCI to ACI – 11.30 arriving at 11.50

GR221 ACI to GCI – 12.15 arriving at 12.35

GR228 GCI to ACI – 17.45 arriving at 18.05

GR229 ACI to GCI – 18.30 arriving at 18.50

Friday

GR220 GCI to ACI – 11.30 arriving at 11.50

GR221 ACI to GCI – 12.15 arriving at 12.35

GR224 GCI to ACI – 14.40 arriving at 15.00

GR225 ACI to GCI – 15.25 arriving at 15.45

GR228 GCI to ACI – 17.45 arriving at 18.05

GR229 ACI to GCI – 18.30 arriving at 18.50

Sunday

GR226 GCI to ACI – 16.15 arriving at 16.35

GR227 ACI to GCI – 17.00 arriving at 17.20

GR228 GCI to ACI – 17.45 arriving at 18.05
