A total of 52 people have now tested positive for Covid 19 in Guernsey as of today.

Thirty eight new cases were identified yesterday after track and trace workers continued to contact people with connections to the four cases identified late on Friday evening.

According to the States of Guernsey 48 of the active cases are related to the original outbreak, leaving four without a known source.

There has been one recovery overnight.

The update came as the States of Alderney called on Islanders who had recently returned from trips to Guernsey to voluntarily self isolate at home.
